Case Tournament at Bird Dog Cards and Comix - 03/2026
Good afternoon yall just giving you guys my match ups @ Bird dog Comics!!
I decided to pilot Sakuyamon but going pure OTK I made sure my deck main goal was to hit for lethal the moment I had my pieces and it worked 4 rounds out of 5 I did misplay round 2 but it happens overall ended up 4-1 the whole tournament placing 5th in top cut sucks cause I moved a little to fast when I had the answer and that hurt.
But overall the case tournament was great, great ppl, great vibes big shout out to the homies Jessie! Zach, and Zain and the sac homies from Final Cut Jd and Panda!!!!
Also big shoutouts to my teammates Tyler, rich, Juan for helping me test and prepare for this event and last but not least my girl Alyssa for allowing me to be gone ALL day to play this event while she watches our son. Rd1 2:1 creepy Tyler my team mate
Out of all 34 ppl I would play my teammate Tyler Lmaoo so Tyler was torn between 2 decks which was creepy mill and Maqui but he went mill because that’s just him and Maqui in this meta right now is a tad slow until they get their emblem but g1 he turbo milled me through into creepy x burning 1 sec, checking for 2 and bringing out a big blocker lol gg we go next and g2 kuzuha was honestly the mvp! Allowing me to play a Amethyst Mandala from trash because it was hit in security and I kissed on sakuya the one of copy of Kuzuha that I debating on playing came through and stole g2, g3 was another little game of who can find their piece but Tyler forgot mandala negative nine DP made him go for a push and him losing his 5 allowing me to capitalize and go up my line and taking it! Hate starting the tourney out X0 specially against my teammate!!

Going into round 2 I just told myself same gameplay I practice and play tested all 2 weeks but g1 was back n fourth until magnetic hit the board and I was a turn too slow finding my Tao to climb up my line to slow him down crazy g1, g2 hard play sakuya ace to freeze his his pyramidi slowed him down and playing a pipe fox with blocker allowed his sunarize chips to be non prevalent because he played four of unique emblem but finally chipped for g2, g3 I misplayed and it costed me x1 still good and missed the mandal sitting in my hand same situation as g2 but if I would have played this correctly I would have won smfh so upsetting but my goal is to win out!!!
Rd3 Medusa
I knew this guy was playing Medusa because he was right next to me the previous round and like I said very skilled player but I’ll be honest I’m not too scared of Medusa with Sakuya MU. G1 Styraco is just too strong honestly lol and he made some very nice plays with old lamia forgetting progress stops option also when he check sec it was an offensive plug in that did nothing lol but still a little back n forth but losing 2 from petrifiction and being under crimson hurt, g2 went up my full line before he could even set up tbh if the pieces roll my way and him giving me 4 mem right off the bat hard playing Owen always helps lol, G3 was another battle of set up but I found my line faster!! Rd:4 Ts Jupiter 2:0
Going into this match I knew Jardin was playing TS Jupiter and him doing well at health point half case event I knew I couldn’t take him lightly but my deck glowed probably the smoothest it’s ran all day everything fell into place and this was honestly a 15 mins match. g1 full combo and he bricked and misplayed with his option, G2 again full combo missed ruin mode but too much to stop had 2 pipe fox, uka no mita, and Sakuya x GG x1 still top cut is still very real
Rd:5 Medusa 2:0
This match I played the boy!! Jessie great guy and he played arguably the most broken liberator deck Medusa. G1 was a little back n fourth but I climb my line and sat on ruin with him having no security nothing you can really do there, and g2 tbh High speed plug in H is so good in this meta since so many things ie Digimon, tamers rely on suspending the fact I can freeze one of those to stop blocking, or a tamer that needs to suspend to go fill combo but bro being able to stun Styraco was the icing on cake since he’s technically their only blocker!! GGs!!!! Finished this case tournament 4W-1L and my 1 Loss finishing in 2nd place!!!
